Jute yarn comes in various weights and thicknesses, typically measured using units such as Tex or Pounds (lbs).
A range of 6lb to 18lb jute yarn corresponds approximately to 200 Tex to 600 Tex. These variations in weight and thickness make it easy to choose the right yarn for different applications. Lighter yarns, such as those around 6lb (200 Tex), are ideal for crafting delicate items, like macramé projects or decorative bindings. On the other hand, heavier yarns, such as 18lb (600 Tex), are better suited for creating durable products like carpets, heavy-duty ropes, or packaging materials.
